About Us
Our Mission
Music Shack is dedicated to offering instrumental instruction to students who are unable to access it through their school. We provide a supportive and inclusive space that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and personal development. Our program combines traditional teaching methods with innovative approaches to empower students to become confident and skilled musicians.
Programs / Instruments
At this time, our Homeschool Community Beginner Band program offers quality instruction on flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, and trombone.
We are happy to accommodate any band instrument in Intermediate/Advanced Band. If your child is already proficient on an instrument other than those listed above, please email musicshack@gmail.com to discuss registration options!
Future course offerings may include Group Percussion for ages 4-10 years, as well as Music and Movement for ages 6 months-10 years. We are always open to community suggestions as well, so feel free to email musicshack20@gmail.com if there is a course you’d like to see in the future!

Instructor
Annie Shackelford has been studying music since she was three years old. She holds a Bachelors degree in music education from Texas Tech University and a Masters in school counseling from UT Tyler. She was a public school band director for six years before branching off to start her own studio, which has been in business since June 2020.
